Good Soundproofing is an online store that promotes products in the soundproofing niche found on Amazon for a commission.
The goal was to make a logo that was unique and very consumer-focused while also being very good at communicating the mission of the brand.
SSC is a facilities management company that provides janitorial, grounds, and mechanical maintenance for K-12 public and private schools as well and colleges and universities. The website they had previously was old and need refreshing. They also wanted to be able to create blog posts, news posts, and press releases. My approach was to create a patterned background that could be alternated and run throughout the website to help create visual interest. I created the pattern primarily with the SSC colors but also added in some brighter colors to help liven up the dated color palette. The end result is a very fresh website that lets SSC put there best foot forward.
D3 Studio is an architecture firm that is well known for its gorgeous restaurants. They needed a simple website that would allow them to easily feature their new projects and clients. This simple site is clean and puts their work front and center.
Reef Tank Resource is a blog that focuses on helping owners of saltwater aquariums answer questions they may have and solve problems that are typical challenges for the saltwater aquarist. I was inspired to design the site based on the bright and beautiful colors of saltwater reef tanks.
The Compass Group USA Sales Team produces a regular blog covering writing and communication topics. They had previously been posting these to a free website service but it didn’t allow them any creative latitude. I created the new website with a fresh design that allowed them more flexibility to express their message.
Compass Group USA produces a podcast for their sales team but it isn’t something they want to distribute widely so it isn’t published to traditional podcasting platforms. They needed a website that would allow them to easily publish their podcasts and allow visitors to easily search and sift through previous podcasts. I designed a site with a digital feel and a focus on usability. I tried make the interface a little more engaging to prevent the site from feeling simply transactional.
Crunch Bistro is a growing chain of healthy-oriented small restaurants. When they came to me they were a single restaurant in a mall food court and using a clip-art logo that didn’t convey their brand in the most positive light.
The new design takes the basic elements of the original logo and elevates them with a more sophisticated interpretation. The original logo included a tomato as the primary icon. It was more of a cartoonish design. The new design eliminates the whimsical look and replaces it with a more contemporary and appropriate interpretation. The new iconography was paired with a sophisticated, clean, and modern font to round out the look.
Jazzy Acres Alpaca Ranch is a retirement business for a couple that retired to the Asheville North Carolina area. The need for a professional-caliber logo was important to the couple due to the extreme competitiveness within the Alpaca wool industry. It was important to them to put their best foot forward to help them establish a good identity.
This was a particularly fun project given that the alpaca and ranch imagery lent itself well to a fun retro-style logo. I’m very happy with the results but more importantly, so were the clients.
PicTec is a unique company that focuses on a narrow niche in the construction industry. The deal strictly with project planning and scheduling which is a critical aspect that can significantly impact costs for construction companies and their clients.
PicTec wanted a logo that would be simple and professional but would help communicate planning and scheduling visually. A primary visual used in their management software is the use of horizontal bars to indicate blocks of time for different phases. This recognizable visual for those in the industry was incorporated the logo design as the primary visual.
